What fire?

While I was out & about in Oxford, eating at Jamie Oliver's restaurant, sightseeing & having coffee at the Grand Cafe, my colleagues & coworkers were apparently rescuing critically ill infants from blazing, raging fireballs. This was my chance to be a hero! To meet a suave, hot, british-accented firefighter! To be recognized by the Queen herself & be forever called "Lady Christy!" Alas, I must wait for the next near-disaster.
On a serious note....the coffee in the Grand Cafe was lovely. Jamie Oliver's Prawn Linguine with Fennel, Olive Oil & Chili Pepper was fantastic. Even better was the bottle of red from Montepulciano (anyone remember that blog entry only a few days ago??).
No one was seriously injured in the fire. It is still speculation as to the cause, but the hospital is a construction zone, which to me will now be interpreted as "scared for your life at work with oxygen, gas pipes & live electrical wires everywhere in a building that is over 100 years old." Yikes. Will keep you updated. I hope I still have a job to go back to! I may be back in Seattle sooner than I thought if the bloody building burns down!
