After a long, tedious day of travelling by tube, train, plane, 3 more trains & a taxi, Jody & I finally made it to Tuscany! 12 hours after leaving our own beds, we walked into this dreamy little room & collapsed. Montepulciano is a lot further from Pisa than I thought! It's in the south of Tuscany, a hilltop town overlooking the wine fields. We woke up the next morning to be served breakfast by a lively, older, Italian man who decided that Jody looked like Barbie & kept saying the word "Wow!" with emphasis. We had pecorino cheese & honey on toast along with a cappucino, which is only drank in the morning....apparently you get funny looks if you order it later in the day. Espresso, darling, espresso is de rigeur. Off we went to explore!
