This fantastic thing is called the telectroscope. It was invented by an artist named Paul St George. It was based on old, victorian drawings of an invention, that he found in the attic, drawn by his great-grandfather. It is a giant window/television screen that you peer into. The other end pops up near the Brooklyn Bridge in NYC. You can see them, they can see you. Some people have brought signs, with messages for those on the other side. The queen came to visit one day. (What luck for the New Yorkers peering that day!) That is Tower Bridge behind it & the lop-sided building is City Hall, where the Mayor makes all his monumental decisions for Londoners, like outlawing alcohol on the tube.
