Did I mention?
Did I mention that the housekeepers stock the drugcupboard? Nor do they waste any narcotics...neither a half-full syringe or a partially-used vial. They don't temperature correct ABGs. They don't heparin flush any lines...only saline lock. (No wonder my pt's central line wouldn't draw back!) There is a nurse whose primary 9-5, 5 days a week job it is to look after the glucometer. Hmmm...what the bloody hell does she DO ALL DAY!!!

Its amazing to me that there are people even more behind the times medically than the east coast....sadly its probably not that different than here. hope that you survive and that the social life makes up for the work part..
i have been meaning to email you and catch up some...will try to get to that this weekend.
