The view of London from a distance. Canary Wharf on the left, St Paul's on the right. A bush in the middle & unfortunately, some chavs on the bench...
Can you see the people on the hill? Flying kites?
I had a super Sunday with Sheryl & another GOSH nurse Jenny. We hit up Camden markets, which I haven't been to in years, because it's the "clubby/goth" market, and I'm over that look years ago. You usually can buy black lycra or hot pink, glow-in-the-dark clothes. One or the other. Well, it's gone through a midlife crisis & has turned fabulous! It's full of vintage stalls, leather bag stalls, endless silver jewelry & cheap food stalls. I stumbled on a rockin pair of vintage, black, leather boots....for 35 pounds! Got a skirt for a fiver. And an ethnic purse. Anyone who knows me, knows I love shopping & even more a bargain!Next, we got back on the bus & took a long, COLD walk around Hampstead Heath. By the end of it, we were lost, in the dark, but had walked long enough to be warm. Eventually, after seeing the kite flyers & lots of dogs out for walks, we saw a light in the distance & followed it. It lead us to the Hampstead Garden Pub. What a shame. Sausage & mash x3 please!
To end the day, we had waffles with dark chocolate sauce for dessert on Sheryl's bed with a glass of port (YUM) & watched "The Golden Compass." What a confusing movie. Really didn't get it. But, sci-fi & me don't get along anyway.
