Let There Be More Light

Lately, there seems to be a habit of opening art exhibits inside unused churches. This brings up very interesting thoughts. Why are the churches unused? Doesn't anyone go to church anymore in Europe? Why art? At least it's free & it isn't commerce, because we all know what Jesus did when they tried that back in the day. Once the exhibit closes, then what do we do with these beautiful buildings?
The content of the art is especially intriguing. I stumbled on this exhibit on my way to meet Jody for her birthday lunch in Marylebone. The main door was guarded by 2 very handsome bouncers in black suits. As you walk in through thick, heavy, black curtains, you can't see anything. It's pitch black. Slowly, your eyes start adjusting & in front of you is a very low-lit, purple electric bulb glowing as it if were kryptonite. Eventually you notice a slit in the curtain ahead & this takes you to the main room, which contains a massive, wooden bomb. This fills the whole area where the congregation would have sat. In place of the pulpit, you find Lucifer, fallen from the sky, entangled in telephone wires.
Heavy, dude, this is heavy.
....thought I'd take a quick break from Italy reminiscing.
