Ok, so the new U2 album is out. I'm struggling. I hate "Get on Your Boots." The rest of the album hasn't gotten me excited. It's like my best friend went & got a facelift on me....or the opposite, aged 10 years & are now grey & wrinkly. I can't figure out if I like it or not. I have never had this problem with any U2 album. I'm playing it over & over to see what happens. I have guilt about this. They are my absolute number one. I honestly have listened to songs such as "With or Without You" & "Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses" thousands of times. And now, listening to No Line on the Horizon, I had to change it back to "Running to Stand Still" & it felt like I was home again. With the new album, there's most likely a tour to follow, which is the best news of 2009. I'm sure these songs played live will perk up. For now, I actually like Bloc Party's new album better, which is complete sacrilege. Bono, forgive me.....
